Teenage New Zealand croquet prodigy Paddy Chapman was named player of the transtasman test series after a perfect record against Australia in Melbourne.
Chapman helped New Zealand to a 2-1 victory in the series, which ended with the hosts avoiding a whitewash by taking out the final test 9-3.
Chapman again won his mixed doubles with fellow Cantabrian Jane McIntyre as well as his singles rubber to be the only player from either side with six wins from six matches.
New Zealand have now claimed six of the seven series held between the countries going back 15 years.
