The White Ferns have tasted their first defeat at the Women's Cricket World Cup, losing to Australia by five wickets overnight.
New Zealand could only post 219-9 in their 50 overs in Bristol, with Suzie Bates notching 51 in her 100th ODI, and Katie Perkins adding a quick 52.
However, only three other batswoman reached double figures as they were restricted by some tight Australian bowling led by Megan Schutt (3-40 from 10) and Jess Jonassen (3-33 from 10).
Australia took their response slowly, but found an array of solid contributors. All of their top four got starts, led by Ellyse Perry's 71, before Alex Blackwell finished off the chase with eight balls to spare with an unbeaten 36.
Anna Peterson and young spinner Amelia Kerr took two wickets apiece.
