New Zealand were set 202 to win by England in the battle of the unbeaten teams in the women's cricket World Cup Super Six match at Bankstown Oval today.
Led by 57 from captain Charlotte Edwards, England scored 201 for five off their 50 overs after choosing to bat first.
Seamer Sophie Devine was the most successful New Zealand bowler although she took some late punishment, ending with two for 45 off eight overs, while Nicola Browne took one for 11 off seven.
England recovered from 96 for four, to plunder 78 off the final 10 overs as Beth Morgan and Jenny Gunn added an unbroken 43 off 32 balls for the sixth wicket.
The winner of today's match will go the top of the points table and be in the box seat to make next Sunday's final.
