Michelle Lynch compiled a record-breaking unbeaten 149 as Auckland eased to a seven-wicket one-day cricket victory against Canterbury at Melville Oval yesterday. Lynch ensured Auckland made light work of overhauling Canterbury's 244 for eight, the opener was at the crease when the winning was secured midway through the 55th over. The right hander stroked 18 sublime boundaries during a 142-ball innings that eclipsed the previous highest score posted by an Auckland batter in one-dayers - Emily Drumm and Rebecca Rolls shared the old mark of 118.
