Former Aussie leg-spinner and cricket personality Shane Warne has delved into his relationship with long-time teammate and now fellow Fox Sports commentator Adam Gilchrist.
The pair's working friendship, which spanned over seven years, was put under speculated strain even before their time together under the baggy green.
The rumoured rift grew out of a number of personality and career clashes between the pair, including Gilchrist's selection to the national team over Warne's close friend and South Australian wicketkeeper Darren Berry.
Another incident which saw Warne berate the rising star in a domestic match between Victoria and Western Australia in the late 1990s added fuel to the fire. An unnamed player told the Herald Sun Warne had been attacking Gilchrist for being a "goody-two-shoes".
"I don't think (Gilchrist) ever forgot it," the anonymous man on the ground revealed.
Their careers hit a fork in the road after Warne, who was rising through the ranks to potentially become Australia's captain, lost his vice-captaincy role to the Bellingen-born keeper-batsman after a text message scandal with a nurse made international headlines.
But as prolific as the gossip surrounding the two stars of the early 2000s was, Warne, now 48, says there's no bad blood between him and his former teammate despite having several disagreements in their careers.
"Me and Gilly have had a few things over the years here and there that we haven't seen eye-to-eye on," Warne said in an interview with Triple M on Friday afternoon.
"Disagreements and things like that ... but when you play with someone over a long period of time, just because you disagree on certain things, it doesn't mean you don't like the guy, or you hate the guy.
"We get along fine, and we'll have a great time (commentating)."
Warne was snapped up by Fox Sports in a six-year contract. The signing followed a historic reshuffling of cricket's broadcasting rights left Channel 7 and Fox scrambling to seal the signatures of some of the biggest cricketing voices in the country.
Gilchrist, Mark Waugh, Allan Border, Brendon Julian, Mike Hussey, Mel Jones, Isa Guha and Michael Vaughan will all be joining the 145-Test star behind the microphone for the broadcasting "revolution".
"I think the team we've got at Fox Sports is awesome," Warne said. "I'll get along well with Gilly, hopefully he just says 'bowled Shane' a few times and we'll be OK!"
Warne picked Gilchrist in his highly anticipated "best Australian XI" in a column for cricket.com.au in 2015.
"The keeping position was a really tough one as Ian Healy was comfortably the best keeper in my time from any country," Warne wrote on his Facebook page.
"We have so much batting, did I need Gilly's batting? (That) was the question, (but) at the end of the day, I only just went with Gilly as his batting was insane."
