New Zealand Cricket (NZC) high performance manager John Reid has resigned to take up a position with Sport and Recreation New Zealand (SPARC).
Former New Zealand batsman Reid joined NZC in 1996 as operations manager and began setting up the national high performance centre at Lincoln University and programmes to develop cricket at the grass roots level.
"The contribution that John has made to cricket in New Zealand is immense," NZC chief executive Martin Snedden said in a statement.
"As a player he was a test cricketer of the highest standard and achieved much as coaching director and then chief executive of Auckland Cricket before joining NZC.
"The high performance and development programmes and facilities that NZC has today are very much a reflection of the excellent work that John has done during his time at NZC."
John will finish at NZC on June 9 before taking up a position as senior advisor talent development with Sparc.
