Has there ever been a more stinging indictment of West Indian cricket?
Zimbabwe coach Kevin Curran says his team will be ready to return to test cricket in November next year after withdrawing from tests this year until they are competitive.
Curran's comment on the team's arrival in South Africa for three one-day internationals was the first to reveal the planned return.
"We will be playing the West Indies at home in November next year," he said.
"That will give us time to develop our young team and we also believe the West Indies will be at the right level for our return."
