It looms as the most lopsided of the four World Cup quarter-finals, but Suresh Raina says there's no chance India will be taking Bangladesh lightly today.

The defending champions have strolled into the knockout phase, winning all six of their pool matches with minimum fuss and few close shaves.

In contrast, Bangladesh scraped through courtesy of a 15-run victory over a terribly out-of-sorts England.

India's pool match in Melbourne was their most impressive performance of the tournament, a 145-run thumping of South Africa.

Bangladesh's clash with Sri Lanka at the MCG was arguably their worst, a 92-run loss.

Everything points to India accounting for Bangladesh at the same venue on Thursday.

But Raina was part of the Indian XI that was shocked by Bangladesh at the 2012 Asia Cup, while the underdogs also recorded a boilover at the 2007 World Cup that sent India packing.

"They've done well against India," Raina said. "They've done well in this tournament.

"We have three games to go and you can't take Bangladesh lightly."

India have turned their form around dramatically since landing in November and enduring a fruitless test series and tri-series in Australia.

Raina suggested his teammates were reaping the benefits of the tour.

"We've been spending a lot of time in Australia, four and a half months now," he said. "We're used to the conditions more than other teams, so we just need to go there and play positive cricket.

"We are familiar with these conditions, we've had a lot of practice in the nets and we've played so many games in Melbourne."

Raina denied his side was under any more pressure than Bangladesh.

"When you're playing in a quarter-final, it's always a pressure situation," he said. "We just need to play positive cricket and do proper process in bowling, batting and fielding."
