Cricket World Cup: Unbeaten Black Caps ranked fifth in the world

Black Caps fans may be on top of the world after the side's one-wicket win over Australia on Saturday but the side have moved up just one spot to fifth in the latest ICC one-day rankings.

After knocking over top-ranked side Australia and taking their record at the Cricket World Cup to four wins from their opening four games, the Black Caps leap-frogged England to move into the top five.

Australia remain number one ahead of India, South Africa and Sri Lanka.

Ireland also moved up a spot from 12th to 11th after upsetting the West Indies in the opening week of the tournament.

New Zealand bowlers Tim Southee and Trent Boult have both flown up the bowling rankings after strong performances.

Southee, who leads the World Cup wicket-taking tally with 13, has risen 10 places to equal 12th while Boult is up 23 places to 24th overall.

Daniel Vettori is the only Kiwi in the top 10 at ninth. Pakistan's Saeed Ajmal and West Indian Sunil Narine are the top two rated bowlers in the world however both players aren't taking part in the World Cup.

Kane Williamson remains sixth in the batting rankings with Ross Taylor just outside the top 10 in 11th. Brendon McCullum, who has been explosive at the World Cup, rose 10 places to 18th.

South African AB de Villiers is the top rated batsman followed by Sri Lanka's Kumar Sangakkara who has hit back-to-back centuries at the World Cup.
