KEY POINTS:
The ICC has told online video-sharing group YouTube to remove World Cup clips claiming copyright infringement.
ICC Development, the body's commercial arm, and commercial rights holder the Global Cricket Corporation, have gone after YouTube to protect the rights of broadcast and sponsorship partners.
"In today's world, broadcasters buy highlights as well as live coverage and mobile rights means clips," Christopher Stokes, boss of online rights protection agency NetResult which represents the ICC, said.
Pietersen on top
England's Kevin Pietersen has replaced Australia's Michael Hussey on top of the ODI batting rankings.
The 26-year-old Pietersen has scored 121 runs at an average of 60.50 at the Cup including half-centuries against New Zealand and Kenya in Group C.
Hussey has dropped two places to third while his captain Ricky Ponting moves up to second.
New Zealand's Shane Bond has climbed to second in the bowlers table for the first time, level with Sri Lanka's Muttiah Muralitharan and behind only South African Shaun Pollock.
Indian axe poised
The Indian board is to analyse the national team's early Cup exit at a meeting next week which could lead to the sacking of the captain and coach.
The 1983 winners crashed out in the first round which has led to a demand by former players and irate fans to axe captain Rahul Dravid and coach Greg Chappell.
Board president Sharad Pawar said the decision on captain and coach would be taken by the committee after hearing their account of the tour and reading the manager's report.
Help for Ireland
Former West Indies off-spinner Lance Gibbs, the first spinner to take 300 test wickets, tutored some of Ireland's players at Bourda yesterday ahead of their first Super 8 match against England on Saturday.
Gibbs, 72, who played for West Indies between 1958 and 1976, spoke to Ireland's captain Trent Johnston and off-spinners Kyle McCallan and Andrew White, passing on tips including how to grip the ball and how to assess batsmen's strengths and weaknesses.
