KEY POINTS:
Lou Vincent, named man of the match after New Zealand's 114-run win over Canada today, admitted his century settled his World Cup jitters.
Vincent, who scored consecutive ducks against England and Kenya in the first two games of the tournament, said he was nervous after his earlier failures.
But he made 101 off 117 balls in St Lucia this morning.
"Three ducks in a row would have been a good start to the tournament," he joked afterwards.
He said batting in the early morning was difficult when the ball was seaming around in the first few overs.
"It is the important phase to get through ... if you can see those first five or six overs off and keep positive but minimise the damage, you are going to catch up later on."
Captain Stephen Fleming, who scored 66 today, was pleased to come through pool play unbeaten, but noted the way Davison had batted against his side's opening bowling attack.
"They weren't treated with much respect ... it's good for us to be put under that pressure in the first 10 overs," he said.
