The chances of Australia and New Zealand being named co-hosts of the 2011 cricket World Cup have been boosted by the tardiness of the rival Asian bid.
ICC President Ehsan Mani said the extra time taken by the Asian bloc to hand over its bid compliance book has harmed the four-nation bid.
India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have made a joint proposal, but they missed the first deadline in March.
They were allowed an extension until April 21 to set out their proposal. The ICC board will vote on a 2011 World Cup host this Sunday in Dubai.
