India seamer Ishant Sharma has been ruled out of the World Cup after failing to recover from a knee injury, according to various media reports.
The 26-year-old will be replaced in the defending champions' squad by Mohit Sharma, the Cricinfo website claimed.
Ishant, who has played 76 ODIs and taken 106 wickets, hasn't played since the Boxing Day test against Australia in Melbourne.
He was selected for the ODI against Australia in Sydney on January 26 but the game was abandoned due to rain before he had the chance to test his fitness.
Mohit Sharma, also 26, has taken 10 wickets in 12 ODIs.
