KEY POINTS:
GROS ISLET, St Lucia - New Zealand all-rounder Craig McMillan has been passed fit for the crucial World Cup clash with England tomorrow morning despite suffering a bad toe injury in practice.
Team spokesman John Durning said middle order batsman Peter Fulton, who broke a finger in last Friday's warm-up win over Sri Lanka, would also be available for selection.
McMillan was hit by a yorker by fast bowler Shane Bond in the nets on Wednesday. An X-ray revealed severe bruising.
Allrounder Jacob Oram's successful rehabilitation from his own fractured finger means a middle order batsman will miss the cut.
As the big hitting McMillan's medium pacers will be an asset on a slow, flat wicket Fulton could be unlucky when the team is finalised shortly before the toss.
New Zealand honed their preparations with a relatively relaxed session cut even shorter by the quality of the net pitches available at the match venue.
McMillan only padded up briefly and did not tempt fate by facing New Zealand's premier paceman.
A torrential downpour swept the ground shortly after the Black Caps returned to their hotel though the forecast is for fine weather tomorrow.
