Cricket: Franklin content with bowling role

Black Caps all rounder James Franklin believes his days of opening the bowling are over.

Franklin took the new ball in the first two one dayers against Pakistan.

However Franklin told Radio Sport the experiment is over heading into the World Cup.

Franklin says his bowling role is now in the middle of the innings with fellow all rounder Scott Styris.

New Zealand play India in their final World Cup warm up match on Wednesday before their first match in the tournament against Kenya on Sunday.
