8.40pm Vettori will take the over for New Zealand while Gayle has the bat.
He's just sent one into the stands and taken a double. This has gone up stairs for the third umpire after a brilliant piece of fielding and Marshall is out.

8.35pm Now it's all down to a one over eliminator. We're just waiting for the lights.
The crowd at Eden Park have been treated to another cliff hanger by these two teams.
The crowd hung around, celebrating the entertainment in the dusk.
The re-construction of Eden Park has begun for the 2011 Rugby World Park, meaning the crowd was never going to be big but the crowd made up for that by making a huge din as the game ended in a draw.
West Indies captain Chris Gayle played some thundering shots to put his team in the driving seat to win tonight's match.
But the West Indies middle order could only sky the Kiwi spinners Vettori and Patel and left too much work for the tail.
Vettori finished up with three for 16, while Patel took two for 34.
Earlier in the day, Ross Taylor punished some wayward Windies bowling while at the other end his partners made starts but could not go on.
Again the Windies looked to their captain who took two for 15 off three overs. The rest of the wickets were spread evenly throughout the Windies pace men.
8.22pm Another tie!
The same thing happened between the two sides three years ago,,, and history has repeated.
The crowd went to a hush as Southee prepared to bowl the last ball.
The Windies needed two to win the match.
Vettori and Mills, two of the Black Caps senior bowlers came in to counsel the young Southee.
Southee's ball went down the on-side and was run into the gully region for a single but that was all there was going to be
8.19pm Edwards has been run out by McCullum after trying to take a cheeky single.
Taylor totally missed a beauty from Southee, Edwards ran anyway and paid the price.
Just two balls to go and six to get
8.16pm The young Southee will bowl the last over and he's started it with a wicket.
Findlay has been caught behind for 19.
It will now be up to the bowlers to win the game for the Windies with the bat.
8.13pm One over to go and the Windies need a measly six runs off the last over.
It could come down to the last few balls... the two sides have drawn before in twenty20..
7.57pm Another skied shot, another wicket for the Black Caps.
A slog sweep from Baugh and suddenly there are six down.
It is now up to the Windies tail to wag.
7.52pm Game on.
Pollard has now scooped one into the air off Vettori's bowling.
The spinners have proved their worth in the short form of the game, bringing the crucial breakthroughs.
The Windies need about a run a ball to win and still have five wickets in hand but New Zealand is now into the lower middle order. They need wickets.
7.46pm Gayle is out.
The captain has been out foxed by Patel.
Gayle skied a swipe to a man on the long-on boundary.
Pollard is now at the crease with Findlay. Just five overs to go.
7.40pm Vettori has another victim.
Sarwan advanced down the wicket but only succeeded in skying it and was caught.
Vettori has gone on the attack now with more fielders inside the circle. New Zealand need wickets if they are to stay in the mat
7.37pm Gayle has his 50.
The Windies captain has carried on his form from the test series and without a middle order collapse, his team looks set to win the first twenty20 match.
Gayle has played straight, bludgeoning the young Southee and the more experienced Oram over the rope for sixes.
His New Zealand counterpart, Vettori is also having a good individual game, taking a wicket and only going for three runs an over.
7.25pm The Black Caps are half-way through their overs and the Windies have already scored half the required runs.
At 85 for two, the West Indies are on target to win.
Vettori has decided to bowl himself and made the breakthrough straight away by bowling Marshall.
But Gayle is still in the middle, powering his way to a half century.
Only a further 70 to get for the Windies and they are there.
7.18pm Vettori has made a double bowling change.
Big Jake Oram and Jeetan Patel have replaced Southee and Mills.
The rumours all said he would only bat in the side but Oram has replaced the young Southee who proved expensive.
However, his welcome back to the bowling crease came in the form of a shot through the covers for four. He followed that up with a brilliant yorker. The next was also a dot ball, Oram's slower ball went straight past the bat and bounced once before reaching McCullum behind the stumps.
Patel has taken the pace off the ball but the Windies have had no problems guiding him around the park for ones and twos
7.10pm Gayle is in super form, blasting boundaries and leading his side towards victory.
Vettori must be looking at a bowling change as the required run rate for the Windies to win winds down.
Southee has bowled two overs for 30 while Mills has taken a wicket but is also going for around 6 runs an over.
6.55pm The West Indies have started their reply with some blistering boundaries but also a wicket.
Mills put a hand out after a drive from Chanderpaul and it stuck.
But the Windies are still on target to chase down the Black Caps' score of 155.
The Black Caps will need to take a couple more early wickets if they are to have a chance of defending their score.
Both Mills and Southee have started off expensively and with Vettori not having much to defend, he may have to look to an early bowling change-up.
The Windies' captain Chris Gayle is still in good form, blasting 13 off eight so far.
6.37pm The Black Caps have made 155 but will it be enough?
A blistering 63 off 58 deliveries from Ross Taylor is the highlight of the New Zealand innings.
Taylor came out early after the dismissal of McCullum for 14.
Taylor kept the score moving while his partners at the other end all got starts but could not really push on.
Styris' 21 included some great strokes, indicating that he still has what it takes, despite retiring from international test cricket.
Oram also got 13 after coming back from injury.
Flynn managed 10 and it was up to Vettori and Mills to pick up a few bonus runs.
As far as the bowling went, Gayle's 2 for 16 off three overs is the stand-out while the rest of the wickets were evenly spread amongst the West Indies pace bowlers Pollard, Edwards, Baker, Taylor and Benn.
The Windies will need 7.8 runs an over if they are to beat the Black Caps at Eden Park tonight.
6.27pm Ross Taylor is out, cleanly bowled by a fast straight delivery from the pace man Jerome Taylor.
Ross Taylor gave himself some room to swing the arms and lost his leg stump for his troubles, knocked clean out of the ground.
Just nine balls to go.
6.24pm Taylor has launched, sending Edwards over the boundary on the full, twice in one over.
He now has his 50 and just smashed a ball from Edwards over the longest boundary at Eden Park.
New Zealand are now 137 for five but the overs are running out fast, just two more to come.
6.22pm The Black Caps will need a last spurt of runs if they are to prove competitive against the West Indies.
A windscreen wiper kind of shot from Flynn has sent the ball into what is left of Eden Park's grandstands.
The crowd, although smaller than usual with the reduced seating, has been loud and passionate, egged on by a band playing Caribbean style music.
Taylor will need to be there at the end if the Black Caps are to post a competitive score.
The batting to come includes Vettori and Kyle Mills who can both swing a bat.
6.18pm Gayle has a tricky task ahead as he decides who will bowl the final four overs.
He will need to up his team's over rate as the clock ticks on to avoid any sort of penalty.
Fidel Edwards has two left, as does Pollard and Gayle himself. Pollard may have helped make Gayle's mind up, going for 12.5 an over.
6.13pm James Fanklin is caught and bowled by West Indies captain Chris Gayle. Franklin got a lot of bat on to a shot that went straight back to Gayle who took a brilliant reflex catch between his legs. The Black Caps batting hopes now lie with Ross Taylor.
Taylor is on form, blasting shots around the park. He came out to the middle early on in New Zealand's innings after McCullum walked and is now nearing a half ton.
At the other end is Flynn, and although a capable batsman in his own right, his role now will be to stay in and rotate the strike back to Taylor.
5.45pm Styris is out! A timely wicket, Styris was doing a good job in the middle for the Black Caps. It was a gift of a catch to the Wet Indies side. He leaves the field for 20 with the Black Caps 70 for three.
5.42pm The stadium announcer states that the crowd attendance for the match is full capacity. Aucklanders have come in their droves to watch the match, thankfully the weather has been stunning to assist in bringing supporters through the crows.
4.59pm Blue Skies over Eden Park ensure today's game will be a cracker. The players are making their way out on to the park. A decent crowd has shown up, given most Aucklanders usually head to the Coromandel and the rest go up North.
4.55pm The team lists have come through. The Black Caps batting order is as follows: Brendon McCullum, Jesse Ryder, Ross Taylor, Scott Styris, Jacob Oram, Daniel Flynn, James Franklin, Daniel Vettori, Kyle Mills, Tim Southee, Jeetan Patel and 12th man is Mark Gillespie.
Both teams are warming up in the centre as the crowd trickles in.
New Zealand have won the toss and have decided to bat.
