Black Caps batsman Kane Williamson has scored his maiden first class double century as Northern Districts continue to dominate Wellington on day two of their Plunket Shield clash.
Williamson passed the 200 mark shortly after the tea break, after he started the day on 76.
He reached the mark off 309 balls and hit 26 boundaries. Northern are 437 for four and hold a 275 first innings lead.
Williamson brought up his seventh first class century midway through the first session today off 147 balls.
Brad Wilson (89), James Marshall (62) and Daniel Vettori (48) helped build Northern's lead to 245 runs with six first innings wickets in hand at the tea break.
In other matches Auckland trail Canterbury by 362 runs with five first innings wickets in hand. Auckland are 129 for five at tea with Martin Guptill top scoring on 56 not out. William Lonsdale took three wickets in four balls for Canterbury with Andrew de Boorder and Anaru Kitchen both falling for ducks.
