New Zealand has cruised to victory in its second match of the Women's Cricket World Cup, beating Ireland by 8 wickets in Christchurch this afternoon.

The Kiwi's reached the target of 100 runs in the 25th over, finishing on 102 for 2.

Opener Paula Flannery top scored for the team with 49 runs while Anna O'Leary made 26 and Rebecca Rolls added 19.
