Cricket: Wellington chasing Brett Lee

Wellington Cricket has confirmed it's chasing Australian speedster Brett Lee for the domestic Twenty20 competition.

CEO Gavin Larson says they have a few balls in the air and one of them is Lee.

He says they are also looking at potential English recruits and one or two Pakistani players who will tour here at the end of the year.

Canterbury is also chasing Lee's services.

Meanwhile, Jacob Oram has been ruled out of tonight's tri-series one-dayer against India in Dambulla with a knee injury.

Kane Williamson is also struggling with a bicep strain, while Martin Guptill will return after missing the last match against Sri Lanka through injury.
