Central Districts have taken the national women's one-day cricket title after yesterday's final against Wellington at Napier's Nelson Park was abandoned because of rain.
Heavy rain and a sodden outfield gave the umpires no choice but to abandon play without a ball being bowled.
Central Districts were declared the 2009/10 champions because they topped the standings at the end of round-robin play with six wins from 10 matches.
Second-placed Wellington had five wins.
Central won the national Twenty20 title yesterday, beating Auckland by eight wickets at the same venue.
