Spin legend Shane Warne has given Australian ball manufacturers Kookaburra a black eye, calling for the English Duke ball to be used in Australia.
Kookaburra balls have been used exclusively by Australia since 1946, but have had big problems with bad batches of red balls in both the Brisbane and Perth tests.
''I believe the Duke ball that are used during the Ashes series should be used worldwide in test matches and all first-class cricket in Australia, especially on our hard pitches,'' Warne said.
''The white Kookaburra should be used in all one-day cricket and T20 matches. But you don't want to see the (red) Kookaburra being changed up to 10 or 12 times during a game.
"If you have a uniform ball, it also makes it easier for the manufacturers (to make balls) for different surfaces, and they'll know what to do."
