Cricket: Tri-series advanced

The Sri Lankan cricket board has agreed to a request by its Indian counterpart to bring forward a tri-series featuring the West Indies.

The tournament will now run from July 30 instead of August 2 to enable the Indian team to participate in an exhibition match in August.

The Indians were scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka on July 24 and will figure in the tournament opener against the hosts in Dambulla.
