Cricket: Tough task for Under-19s

New Zealand's Under-19 World Cup cricket team left for Sri Lanka yesterday, eyeing a tough pool draw and potential dangerous opponent in their first match.

The 14-strong squad left for Colombo looking to improve on their 2004 performance when they won just two of their six matches in Bangladesh.

After practice matches against South Africa and West Indies this week, New Zealand face Bangladesh on Sunday in what will be a tricky tournament opener.
