Australia suffered a double injury blow yesterday ahead of cricket's Super Series, with paceman Shaun Tait and allrounder Brad Hogg ruled out of the matches against the World XI.
Tait was diagnosed with torn cartilage in his shoulder which could sideline him for three months.
Earlier, Hogg was ruled out with a knee injury, with Victorian captain and leg-spinner Cameron White drafted in as his replacement.
The opening match of the limited-overs series is at Telstra Dome in Melbourne tomorrow.
