Sri Lanka's cricket board chief Jayantha Dharmadasa resigned yesterday amid reports that Arjuna Ranatunga, who led the country to its only World Cup success, will take over.
Dharmadasa cited personal reasons for his decision, Sri Lanka Cricket said in a statement.
The Government-appointed businessman Dharmadasa in 2005 to run cricket under controversial circumstances after refusing to recognise an elected committee.
