CARDIFF - Australia are sweating on the results of scans to determine how bad the bowling shoulder injury to Brett Lee is early into the Ashes tour.
Lee felt sharp pain in the back of his right shoulder while bowling his fourth over in Thursday's loss to county side Somerset in Taunton.
Australian physiotherapist Errol Alcott drove Lee to London to meet three specialists and for scans which should reveal the severity of the problem.
Lee is now unlikely to play in Australia's first match in the triangular one-day series, against Bangladesh in Cardiff.
Australian coach John Buchanan said it was too early to say how bad Lee's injury was.
"Brett's down in London today just getting some MRIs done and we haven't heard any reports back as yet so we really just want to find out what's going on inside there," Buchanan said.
Australia's problems are not just confined to injury worries, as the players held a team meeting yesterday to discuss what had gone wrong in the bad losses to England and Somerset.
However, Bangladesh will not pose too many problems to Australia, who should bounce back strongly.
England yesterday gave the minnows a pasting in the opener of the tri-series at The Oval, bowling Bangladesh out for 190 and then overtaking the total without the loss of a wicket and inside 25 overs.
Marcus Trescothick scored 100 not out from 76 balls in his 100th one-day international, and Andrew Strauss made 82 not out.
