Scores at stumps of day one of the four-day Shell Trophy matches:

Auckland are 238 for two against Northern Districts Eden Park. Pocock made 123 while Aiken is 84 not out.

Wellington are 268 for five in their match against Central Districts in Napier. Captain Matthew Bell top-scored with 116.

Meanwhile, Canterbury made 201 against Otago in Alexandra. Otago in reply are 57 for one.
