Australian opener Matthew Hayden may play in Saturday's third one-day cricket international against New Zealand after scans cleared him of any bone damage in his injured shoulder.
Team officials said Hayden had improved movement today in the shoulder he damaged when taking a diving catch during Australia's win in the second match in Christchurch on Tuesday.
Hayden did not bat in the nets today and will have further treatment before a decision is made tomorrow on whether he plays in game three at Eden Park where Australia can wrap up the five-game series.
