PORT-OF-SPAIN, TRINIDAD - Prolific batsman Ramnaresh Sarwan is confident West Indies can produce another consistent performance against England in the fifth and final cricket test beginning tomorrow and clinch a long-awaited series victory.
West Indies, which leads England 1-0, has not won a test series since 2004.
It's been 11 years since West Indies won a series from England.
"It presents a great opportunity for us to win a series against a top team," Sarwan said before training yesterday.
"Obviously, we haven't done that for a while and everyone is excited about that and everyone is looking forward to this game. We're very confident."
Sarwan has been West Indies' and the series' standout, with scores of 107, 94, 106 and a career-best 291.
West Indies retained the same 13-member squad from Barbados but underachieving fast bowler Daren Powell was under threat from rookie Lionel Baker, who played his only test in New Zealand last December.
England confirmed that Matt Prior, who missed the fourth test, will come back into the XI for the series decider.
Doubts remained over the fitness of Ryan Sidebottom and the attitude of Steve Harmison and the enforced absence of Andrew Flintoff.
Amjad Khan had a chance of making his test debut.
