Suspended Black Cap Jesse Ryder will play for the Wellington Firebirds in their Plunket Shield match against the Northern Knights at the Basin Reserve starting on Friday.
Fellow internationals James Franklin and Andy McKay are also included. Fast bowler Andrew Lamb and all-rounder Luke Woodcock drop out.
