Cricket: Ryder set to return

Wellington power house hitter Jesse Ryder is set to return to action this weekend.

CEO Gavin Larsen says Ryder won't front against Central Districts in today's 20-20 match in Nelson but should play Northern Districts at the Basin Reserve on Sunday.

The firebirds have rushed in yet another Aussie, Travis Birt as cover for their England all rounder Luke Wright who is out of today's game against CD with a poisoned leg.
