Indian batsmen Virender Sehwag and Rahul Dravid may not get a chance to set a world record as bad weather threatened to wash out the final day's play in the first cricket test against Pakistan.
Sehwag and Dravid, who ended the fourth day on 403 for no loss, were 11 runs away from surpassing the world record of 413 for the first wicket by countrymen Vinoo Mankad and Pankaj Roy against New Zealand in Madras in 1956.
Sehwag was unbeaten on 247, his second consecutive double century against Pakistan after making 201 in the third test in Bangalore last year.
Skipper Dravid was on 128, his 21st test century but the first as an opening batsman.
