Australia's new Twenty20 captain Cameron White doesn't underestimate his challenge.
The Australians open a two-game series against England in Adelaide on Wednesday night with the tourists seeking a world record.
England have not lost a T20 match since May last year, their seven-match winning streak equalling the record set by Pakistan and South Africa in 2009.
England's successful sequence includes the World Cup last year, when they downed Australia in the final.
"Clearly they are in good form," White said of England.
"They have got individual players who are in good form, they play a lot of Twenty20 cricket so they understand the format pretty well.
" ... I don't underestimate them at all."
White will lead Australia for the first time, following Michael Clarke's retirement from the short format.
"It has been pretty hectic the last few days and I'm just sort of getting my head around it now," the 27-year-old Victorian said.
"It's a great honour to be in charge of the team and I'm just really looking forward to the experience, I can't wait."
White said whichever side could deliver under the intense pressure of the T20 format would win the series, which concludes in Melbourne on Friday.
"When you are under pressure, it's about executing your skills more than anything, so that will probably be the challenge for both teams," he said.
