Pakistan took an unassailable 2-0 lead over World Cup runners-up Sri Lanka in their three-match, one-day international series in Abu Dhabi when they won the second game by 98 runs on Monday (NZ time).
The Pakistanis, playing for the second time since their disappointing World Cup in the Caribbean, made 313 for nine in their 50 overs then bowled Sri Lanka out for 215 in 39.5 overs.
Opener Salman Butt top-scored for Pakistan with 74 and all-rounder Shahid Afridi was the pick of their bowlers taking three Sri Lanka wickets for 37.
