Otago batsman Greg Todd has headed north to join Auckland for the 2010-2011 cricket season.
Auckland Cricket chief executive Andrew Eade said in a statement today Todd would strengthen a side that had lost the experience of Richard Jones, Reece Young and Scott Styris.
Todd has played for Otago since the 2004-05 season and a first class average of 40.2 from amassing 2774 runs with four centuries over 45 matches.
His one-day average is 30.19 and 28.41 for Twenty20.
"I have thoroughly enjoyed my six years at Otago and I have plenty of people to thank for my time down there," Todd said.
"There are memories I will have for a lifetime and leave Otago with no regrets. But life moves on and I'm really looking forward to my next challenge at Auckland to further my game."
