Canterbury batsman Rob Nicol has been named the overall MVP of the 2010/11 domestic cricket season.
Nicol had a stellar season across all competitions with the bat.
He was the leading one day run-scorer with 648 at an average of 72 while he was also the top scorer in the Twenty20 competition with 285 at an average of just under 32.
The four day competition saw Nicol hit 449 runs at an average of 32.
Otago fast bowler Neil Wagner was second in the rankings while Nicol';s teammate Andrew Ellis finished third.
