New Zealand will look to spend the final day of the first test against the West Indies at the batting crease to secure a draw at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua tomorrow.
The Black Caps closed day four today on 199-3 with skipper Ross Taylor (11) and night watchman Neil Wagner (four) unbeaten at the crease with a small lead of 28 runs and seven second-innings wickets in hand.
Negating the threat of the ever-dangerous spinner Sunil Narine will be at the forefront of the minds of the Kiwi batsmen and a draw would be a credible result given the test is being played on foreign soil.
They have again made it tougher on themselves though, as the New Zealand batsmen failed to turn their promising second-innings starts in to three-figure scores.
Opener Martin Guptill made his second 50 of the test when he rode his luck to 67 before he became Narine's second victim of the innings when a ball that bounced sharply struck his gloves and he was caught in close by Assad Fudadin.
