Sri Lanka have included controversial spinner Muttiah Muralitharan in a 16-member squad to tour Australia later this month, but it was unclear whether world cricket's highest test wicket-taker will actually play.
Muralitharan, who has taken 527 wickets in 90 tests, has indicated that he may not visit Australia after Prime Minister John Howard called him a "chucker", referring to his controversial, banned delivery called a "doosra".
The Sri Lankans named Marvan Atapattu as captain for the two tests and three one-dayers.
