Brendon McCullum's Chennai Super Kings are one win away from the Indian Premier League final after beating Corey Anderson's Mumbai Indians in an elimination playoff match overnight.
Anderson made 20 runs from 10 balls, including two sixes, as the Indians set Chennai 174 to win.
McCullum also failed to fire with the bat, making just 14 from 11 balls in an innings that also included two sixes. The New Zealand skipper, who flew back to India after the birth of his daughter, was stumped off the bowling of Indian spinner Pragyan Ojha.
Indian international Suresh Raina and Australia's David Hussey put on 90 runs after McCullum's dismissal to lead the Super Kings, coached by former New Zealand captain Stephen Fleming, to seven wicket win.
Chennai will face Punjab King's XI for a spot in a final to face the Kolkata Knight Riders. McCullum's former team booked a place in the final after a 28-run win over the King's XI.
