Former New Zealand cricketer Hamish Marshall will again return to the Northern Knights as an overseas player during the 2011-12 season.
Marshall who has been playing for Gloucestershire in the English summer, will join the Knights in the next few days and will be available for the rest of the summer.
The 32-year-old, who played 13 tests and 66 one-dayers for New Zealand, decided to pursue a career in the English county game in 2007. He has an Irish passport and so qualifies as a local player there.
Knights chief executive officer David Cooper said: "We welcome Hamish back as, despite not now being available for the Black Caps, he has a huge amount of experience and understands the Knights' way of doing things. He has been a very valuable contributor for many years now.''
Marshall made his Knights debut in 1998.
