KEY POINTS:
Running alongside New Zealand's first test win over Bangladesh this week was India's whopping demolition of Australia in Mohali.
The New Zealanders square off with their hosts in Dhaka from today, but Australia get a few more days respite before their third test at New Delhi on Wednesday. The teams play New Zealand later in the summer.
New Zealand coach John Bracewell has been keeping half an eye on events in India and expects India to pose real problems for New Zealand when they arrive for their two-test, five-ODI tour in March.
Bracewell said: "India have an extremely well balanced bowling attack, well suited to New Zealand conditions. They have genuine pace, the ability to swing it, and reverse swing it, and a good balance of spin."
As a former international who enjoyed wins over the Aussies to balance the defeats, he admitted to quiet pleasure at Australia's humbling at Mohali. But he doubted they'll panic at the loss, and wouldn't write them off.
Bracewell said: "They [Australia] are massively competitive, massively skilled.
"One loss won't be the end of the world. They're well led, and hard nosed."
New Zealand play two tests in Australia next month, and the five-game Chappell-Hadlee series in February, also across the Tasman.
