Cricket: Long innings over for Border

Former Australian cricket captain Allan Border has resigned after almost seven years on the national selection panel.

Border yesterday cited growing commitments away from the selection table as the reason for his decision.

Cricket Australia said it would canvas the six states before appointing a replacement.
