KEY POINTS:
ADELAIDE - Australian fast bowler Brett Lee has been reported for excessive appealing in the second Ashes cricket test against England at Adelaide Oval.
Lee was cited by New Zealand match referee Jeff Crowe after he began celebrating what he thought was the wicket of Kevin Pietersen early on day two.
Umpire Steve Bucknor rejected the Australian team's appeal.
Lee will front a hearing with Crowe either tonight or tomorrow night and faces being fined his match fee of around A$12,000 ($14,000) if found guilty.
Early on day three, Autralia were 40 for 2. Hayden went for 12, caught behind off Hoggard.
