Debutant off-spinner Jason Krejza took eight wickets to give Australia a chance of victory in the final cricket test against India in Nagpur.
On day two, as India collapsed to be all out for 441 after being strongly placed at 404 for five, Krejza took five wickets in the space of 26 balls after lunch.
Opener Simon Katich struck an unbeaten 92 to move Australia to 189 for two at stumps.
Australia needs to win the match to level the series and avoid its first series defeat since the 2005 Ashes tour of England.
