KEY POINTS:
Alan Isaac was appointed chairman of New Zealand Cricket yesterday, replacing Sir John Anderson.
Isaac has been on the board for 18 years and has been acting chairman since Anderson's retirement earlier this month.
Justin Vaughan, New Zealand Cricket chief executive, said in this time Isaac has proved to be an excellent strategist and thinker with a deep knowledge of local cricket.
Isaac said these were amazing and fast-moving times for the sport and New Zealand Cricket was deeply involved in shaping these changes.
"You only have to look at Twenty20 and see its evolution in the last two years to understand the changes that are happening in the game," he said.
