Dashing opener Tamim Iqbal has been ruled out of the Bangladesh squad for five ODIs against New Zealand next month after having wrist surgery.
Former captain Mohammad Ashraful has been omitted from the squad, with lefthand opener Shahriar Nafees returning after two years' absence.
The first of the five games, all in Dhaka, is on October 5.
