KEY POINTS:
ADELAIDE - Indian captain Anil Kumble won the toss and chose to bat first in the fourth and final cricket Test against Australia at Adelaide Oval.
India will begin their innings in mild conditions following overnight rain and on a wicket expected to favour the bat.
Australia have retained the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and lead the series 2-1, but India aim to give their senior players a good swansong in this country by squaring the series 2-2.
Australia recalled wrist spinner Brad Hogg, who replaced paceman Shaun Tait, which means the home side will revert to its traditional attack of three quicks and a spinner.
Opener Matthew Hayden also returns, having missed the loss in Perth through hamstring soreness.
India named an attack of five bowlers, as spinner Harbhajan Singh came into the side and replaced opening batsman Wasim Jaffer.
Paceman Irfan Pathan, who played as a nightwatchman in the third Test, is expected to open the batting in Jaffer's place.
