Australian cricketer Matthew Hayden last night denied rumours that former teammate Damien Martyn retired after they had a dressing-room fight.
Speculation has been rife about what prompted Martyn's shock retirement, which came before last month's third Ashes test against England.
"We allegedly had a punchup, which is absolute, total fabrication," Hayden said on the Nine Network.
