Australian wicketkeeper Adam Gilchrist may have broken his thumb during the closing stages of their one day cricket win over India at Adelaide Oval.
However Australian coach Tim Nielsen believes Gilchrist will carry on for the rest of the series regardless of the result of x-rays. The Australians play Sri Lanka at the MCG on Friday.
