Former New Zealand cricket captain Lee Germon is returning to Christchurch after accepting a new job as chief executive of Canterbury Cricket. Germon has filled the same position for the Tasman Rugby Union for the past two years.
He will leave that post in March to begin a new contract with Canterbury Cricket, replacing Richard Reid, who left in October to become chief executive of the Otago Rugby Union.
Germon captained New Zealand from 1995 to 1997.
